Depression

So today I thought I'd write my blog about something that I experience on a fairly regular basis, that something is depression. Now I don't think I'm clinically depressed but I do suffer from it on a regular basis, and when I do suffer from it it doesn't last very long. But what it does do it affects me pretty deeply for the moment that I am experiencing it. Take today for instance, today I am at a point where I'm a little sad that I'm still single, and all of the people around me are either with somebody or in the process of dating or happily single. I think one of my biggest problems is, is that I have a bad picker. I inevitably pic man who are either not interested in me, or not interested in dating me. I mostly experience the first where I am interested in somebody and think they would make an amazing partner and they couldn't give me the time of day. I have always been attracted to those men who I am the opposite of what they are attracted to, usually they are attracted to Asians, smaller Latinos, or feminine personality, and I am none of those. So this is gotten me down , Today. For whatever the reason and it could be a multitude of reasons, today I picked to be depressed over the fact that I'm single. Normally I would think about this, be a little sad, get proactive, and hopefully make my life better with the actions that follow, but today instead of taking action I just want to curl up in bed and go to sleep forever. I know I'm depressed when the thing that I am upset seeing over leads me down a path to believe that it is the end of the world and my life is over. Now this may seem dramatic but when you're in the throes of depression it seems possible and plausible. It feels like it is hopeless there's no other answer but the one that my head is formulating. Going on medication is probably not the answer for me as it is for only happens once in a while

GET YOURSELF OUT THERE

The  following is a list of steps you can use to get yourself out of the house if you are like me and a home body but need to meet people.

STEP 1
Sign up for an online dating service. Search for men in the San Diego area. Some of these sites are free. Read profiles, and when you find someone you’re interested in, e-mail him and start chatting. One in five people who are in new relationships met their partner online, and one in six marriages that occur are between couples who met through an online dating site. This more than twice the marriage rate of couples who met at bars, clubs, or social events combined. Thus it is likely that you’ll find the single professional man of your dreams in the listings for the San Diego area.

STEP 2
Find a single man through work or school. These locales are considered the top places to meet one’s future spouse. But if you’ve already been looking around campus or your workplace and you still can’t find any single professionals who catch your eye, ask your friends to introduce you to new people. Meeting through mutual friends was the second most likely meeting place for couples who ended up marrying. Decide who your upstanding, professional friends are, then tell them you're interested in meeting a single, professional man. Similarly, you can visit your favorite social media websites and peruse the profiles of friends of friends, adding to your friends list men who are single, looking to be in a relationship, and established in a profession. Send them a personal message to start a conversation.

STEP 3
Look for single men San Diego's nightlife. Finding a single man who truly meets your standards can be difficult in bars, clubs, and restaurants, but it certainly can happen. Check out districts like the Gas Lamp Quarter downtown, and bars like the Hard Rock Hotel and the Altitude Sky Lounge. It may take some time before you figure out which bars and lounges are frequented by single professionals, but you’ll definitely find many of them in the Gas Lamp Quarter. Bring a couple of friends with you and dress up in something casual but professional. Be social and talk to everyone you meet who seems interesting.

Post by moonlight

It is about 12:15 am in the morning and I have become somewhat of a nightt owl. I run
after I come home and then I watch TV for a few hours and by then Im tired enough to drift off to sleep. Recently I have been consumed by having to move to another place. I don't like change and this s a big one. It has brought up the old feelings of fear and anger. It is such a beautiful night tonight, the foghas covered  the moon in an eerie vail of ghostly white.  It is quiet, I will miss that. The chirping of the crickets, the hum of my fan and the scratching of the occasional raccoon as it slides head first down the tree at my door. The other morning at 3AM I awoke to three of them climbing from my roof to the tree and shimming down face first, with not even a slip of the claws, one by one they filed off the rood and down the tree, scurrying off down the stairs to the back of the house.  I pray that GOD delivers us to a new and better home. AsI type I catch a glimmer of the moon and it is awfully pretty, surrounded by the black of night.
Oh moon I pray that you bless this night with fitful sleep and a restful slumber..... GOOD NIGHT.
